The Social Entrepreneurship Institute’s Gap Year programme goal is to help develop and support youth to become leaders in society. Our programme is focused on developing and upskilling youth with competencies that will improve their employability, empower them with skills to become entrepreneurs and support them as they explore career opportunities.
How will we do this?
The Institute offers a national NQF Level 5 qualification in Community Development as well as various value adding learning programmes that will develop young leaders into social change agents for our continent.
Further careers in Coaching, Mediation, Early Childhood Development and Social Development will open up for successful participants.

Purpose
Give yourself a job is a training programme aimed at developing young entrepreneurs to start small business. Learners are required to assess community needs and assets with the view to creating a job to fulfil the need. The course challenges individuals to be creative and do research about different entrepreneurial opportunities.
Outcomes
Participants have a clearer understanding of what it takes to be an entrepreneur, taking advantage of available opportunities and the importance of adequate market research to ensure sustainability.

Purpose
